Lean towards me if you can,
For I am strong and tall.
I will hold you, not let you fall,
lean towards me.
You have a right like every tree,
to breathe and stand,
to fight when harsh winds blow.
You are that tree, and I am strong.
Lean towards me.
Hold your spirit strong,
like newly sown corn,
pushing through the difficult times,
for I will hold you, not let you fall.
Lean towards me.
You set your heart free
You let your spirit soar.
For you are brave, you are that corn,
And I am tall and I am strong.
Lean towards me.
Our fight is long
Like the river flows,
twists and turns with stones to cross,
but you are here, and life is now,
And I will hold you, I will not let you fall.
Lean towards me.....

Jo is singing this poem on www.myspace.com/jomoursimusic and is soon to go into the studio to record it for his father.
Susie, I was privileged to have read your fascinating book on "growing up in the fifties" and this your second piece of work has touched me immensely. Knowing you and Hamada like I do and remembering the good times we shared I was moved to tears in your lines of prose. In your words, I can feel the tenderness and understanding of your plight and the inner-strength and courage that you both have for facing the ongoing daily battle. My heart goes out to both of you and your lovely family. As you know, I see Jo very often and the quality of his songs is impressive, he now needs to practice his autograph! Your talent for writing is clear to see, I was deeply moved by your poems, you are truly an amazing woman. Please send my every good wish to my dear friend and tell him I think of him daily and wish him well soonest. Lots of love, as always your friend Chris x
I can only say "thank you" how kind your words are - Susie

Your 'fabulous voice' has made my simple poem sound just beautiful- you sung from the heart. Thank you.
this poem is so true to your life. You are so determined, so strong and there is so much love and care in everything you do for Hamada.
Thank you 'dear heart' I will do my best forever, to keep him with us.
Trees that are strong have deep roots and they spread deep and wide giving strenth to the branches and the leaves. Your love towards your husband are like these roots, digging in deep getting the strength to support him and the canopy, branches and leaves enveloping your family with love. A truly special lady

If I was as talented as you I would be a poet, take care John (MySpace)
You have exact right attitude by telling him to 'lean on you' you are easing his load. Even if you don't necessarily think you are,you are. Keep telling him this. Tell him you'll take all of it. For it to work, you must really believe it.Listen and be with him with your loving kindness.
By helping him you are doing serious practice, and this shows in your poems.
"So that no one else ever again has to go through what he is going through 'I'll accept it all"
Pray that way...dedicate it for everyone's benefit. it will help you and him. This is what the Dalai Lama told me " no matter what you do, remember to dedicate your merit to all sentient beings. For everybody, remember to dedicate
your merit to everyone" It can make him better if not now, in the future.
